Charges Report

The Charges report displays the net value of performance, bundle and delivery method service charges (both sold and paid). You can use this report to view additional details about service charges.

Caution
If you filter the report by any of the performance criteria (Venue, Series, Performances From/To, Performance Code), only performance level service charges are displayed. If an order contains both performance and delivery method charges, only the performance charges will be displayed.

Charges Report Criteria

The following table describes this report’s criteria:

Criteria Description
Venue Enables you to filter the report by one or more venue selections.
Using this filter will only return performance level charges.
Additionally, to select more than one venue, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
Series Specifies one or more series to include in the report.
Enter the series name and press ENTER or click to search for the series. For more information, refer to The Find Series Dialog Box.
Using this filter will only return performance level service charges.
Performance Code Enables you to filter the report by a specific performance.
Enter the performance code or click to search for the performance. For more information, refer to The Find Performances Dialog Box.
Using this filter will only return performance level service charges.
Display Charge Types Enables you to further expand the 'Sold' and 'Unpaid' columns based on the selected charge types:
  • Commission
  • Service Charge
  • Tax

     
    Information
    Two other options, User Tax1 and User Tax2, are available. By default they are disabled in the General Configuration application List|Entries page for the Service Charge Types list. To configure these options, they must first be enabled. For information on configuring taxes and charges, refer to Product Configuration Charges.
Transaction Date Format Specifies the date to use for the report:
  • Date Range
  • Previous 7 Days – This does not include today.
  • Today
  • Yesterday

    This is the date that the charge was issued/sold.
Transactions From If you are entering a date range, this is the date from which data will be included in the report. This date is inclusive where the starting time will be 0:00:00 on the selected date.
Any value entered into this field will only apply if Date Range is used.
Enter a date into the field or click to select the date or relative date. For more information, refer to Using the Calendar to Select a Date.
Transactions To If you are entering a date range, this is the date to which data will be included in the report. This date is inclusive where the end time will be up to 23:59:59 on the selected date.
Any value entered into this field will only apply if Date Range is used.

Service Charge Enables you to filter for a specific service charge.
Report Output By Enables you to group service charges by:
  • Performance
  • Performance Description
  • Series
  • Service Charge Summary: Provides a summary of the service charge revenue and no additional details.
  • Transaction date
  • User Name
  • User Role Group
  • User Role Name

Advanced Section

The following criteria is available in the advanced section:

Criteria Description
Performances From Enables you to filter for those performances that occur on or after the date entered.
The application will ignore your entry if you do not enter a value for 'Performances To' date.
Enter a date or relative date into the field or click or to select the date or relative date.
For more information, refer to Using the Calendar to Select a Date and Using Relative Dates and Times.
Using this filter will only return performance level service charges.
Performances To Enables you to filter for those performances that occur on or before the date entered.
The application will ignore your entry if you do not enter a value for 'Performances From' date.

User Name Enables you to filter the report based on the selected users.
Enter the user name or click to search for the user(s). For more information, refer to The Find Users Dialog Box.
This is the user who sold or updated the charge.
User Role Enables you to filter the report based on the selected user roles.
This is the user role that sold or updated the charge.
To select more than one user role, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
User Role Group Enables you to filter the report based on the selected user role groups.
This is the user who last updated the order.
To select more than one user role group, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.

The following table describes the report’s output:

Column Description
Charge Summary Displays the net value of performance, delivery and bundle service charges sold and paid.
The total amount paid should match the End of Day Summary report for the same date range. For more information, refer to End of Day Summary.
Charge by Displays additional details about the sold service charge including:
  • customer
  • order
  • user and user role
  • date
  • amount sold and amount paid
    This section does not display if you are reporting by Service Charge Summary.
