Duplicate Account Summary Report

The Duplicate Account Summary report displays a list of possible duplicate accounts based on specified matching criteria including:

  • Email Address
  • Last Name
  • Organization Name
  • Payment Account Number
  • Street Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Postal/Zip Code

Use this report to help determine which accounts should be merged or removed from the system.

Duplicate Account Summary Report Criteria

The following table describes this report’s criteria:

Criteria Description
Match Criteria Enables you to specify which information to check when determining the uniqueness of a customer (e.g. 
selecting Email Address would return all those accounts with the same email address).

To select more than one criteria, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
From Customer Number Enables you to filter the report for those account numbers within the specified range.
The application will ignore your entry if you do not enter a 'To Customer Number' date.
To Customer Number Enables you to filter the report for those account numbers within the specified range.
The application will ignore your entry if you do not enter a 'From Customer Number' date.
Account Create Date Format Specifies the date to use for the report:
  • Date Range
  • Previous 7 Days – This does not include today.
  • Today
  • Yesterday 

    This is date that the account was created.
Account Created From Enables you to filter for those accounts created on or after the date entered.
Any value entered into this field will only apply if Date Range is used.
Enter a date or relative date into the field or click  or  to select the date or relative date.

Account Created To Enables you to filter for those accounts created on or before the date entered. 
Any value entered into this field will only apply if Date Range is used.

Account Update Date Format Specifies the date to use for the report:
  • Date Range
  • Previous 7 Days – This does not include today.

Account Create Role Enables you to filter for those accounts created by the selected user role(s).

Account Update Role Enables you to filter for those accounts updated by the selected user role(s).
To select more than one user role, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.

Once you run this report, you can use the Customer Services application to merge, link, or resolve other issues with duplicates.
