Desktop Enhancements

Feature Description ID
Implement a multi-user event management system. This has been implemented in AV Community 1.9.0.
The Organization Management application has been added to the AudienceView Desktop, allowing Desktop users to manage the basic attributes of an organization. Organizations support multiple users. In turn, each user can have a unique set of groups for each of the organizations that they are associated with.
The addition of the Organization Management application replaces the Customer Services application Customer|Event Owner Profile pages. The Customer Services application Customer|Advanced|Marketing Contacts page has also been removed and replaced with the Organization Management application Organization|Marketing Contacts page. Organizations contain a single set of marketing contacts that are shared across all of the users.

Organizations are still known as "Profiles" in the AV Community Event Owner Portal. Event owners can manage the basic attributes of an organization via the My Profile page. They can also invite other users to join their organization/profile. If users belong to multiple organizations, they will be prompted to select the appropriate organization/profile when they log on.
When an organization is active in a session, the users' organization-specific groups will be active in addition to the non-organization-specific groups.

Organization fields are available under the Customer and Performance BI 'Objects'.

Remove the User|Permissions, User|Attributes an User|Content pages from the Application Security application.
This has been implemented in AV Community 1.9.0.
As part of the work to add organizations and allow multiple users on event owner profiles, we have simplified user configuration by removing the ability to configure permissions, attributes and content on the individual user level. Users who need a unique set of permissions, attributes or content can be placed in their own group.
The Security by User report has also been updated. so that references to user permissions were removed from the output.

If you are upgrading to a newer version of the application, the upgrade scripts will find users with permissions, attributes or content configured, and a new group will be created for each. The groups will follow the naming convention Group - <User Name>. The group will contain the same permissions, attributes and content as the user did. The new group will be assigned to the user, in addition to any groups already assigned to that user.

Update user search. This has been implemented in AV Community 1.9.0.
The Application Security application Users|Search page and the Find Users dialog box have been updated so that both Desktop and Online users are returned. This allows System Owners to effectively manage event owner users and their associated organizations through the desktop.

A 'User Type' field has been added to the searches to allow you to search only for Deskop users, Online users or both. The default selection is Desktop Users.

Deduct selected payment method amounts from settlement.  This has been implemented in AV Community 1.9.0.
A 'Event Owner Payment Method' field has been added to the Venue Configuration application Contract|Basic page. This field allows you to select payment methods that will be deducted from the event owner's settlement. For example, the Cash payment method would be selected if cash payments are being accepted at the door. This amount would not then be paid out to the event owner a second time.
The deducted settlements also appear on the Venue Configuration application Performance|Settlement page.

Implement the Order Reconciliation report. This has been implemented in AV Community 1.9.0.
The Order Reconciliation report displays all of the incomplete orders in the system.
The report can be used to help determine why the order was not completed (e.g. a software error, server issue or the order is deliberately/inadvertently aborted).

The client and server IP addresses supplied in the report allow for quick inspection as to whether a particular server or client is generating incomplete orders at a high frequency. This could indicate a technical issue with the server or the network, or that the client's machine is hindering the ability to successfully complete orders.

  1. Event Settlement: Previously had 'Performance Customer' included as a result member. It was removed and replaced with 'Organization Short Description'. The 'Order' value for the 'Organization Short Description' result member was set to 0 so that it is the first column in the output.
  2. Settle Performance: Previously had 'Performance Customer has a value' as a criterion, to ensure that only events created through the event owner portal were returned. It was removed and replaced with 'Organization has a value', and returns the same results.
  3. My Marketing Contacts: Previously had 'Performance Customer' included as a result member. It was removed and replaced with 'Organization Short Description'.

Add a 'Sold Count' column to the Scanned Tickets report and restrict the query to selected performances. This has been implemented in AV Community 1.9.0.
The number of ticket sold has been added to the output of the report ('Sold' column). Previously the report only displayed tickets printed and the scanning results.
