Attributes enable you to control the fields that are displayed to the user (e.g. expose marketing or data fields to a user or group). You can achieve the same effects using the Registry; however, using the Group|Attributes page enables you to control fields for a group of users. The Application Security application Users|Attributes page contains the following properties after the 'Add Rule' button is clicked:

Select the check box and click 'Update Details' to delete the rule. |
Attribute Name |
The attribute that the rule is being applied to. |
Default Value |
Enter a value to set a default value for the selected field. |
Label |
Enter a name for the selected field that will appear to the group in the application (e.g. naming a data field). |
Min Value |
Enter a minimum value for the selected field, if applicable. |
Max Value |
Enter a maximum value for the selected field, if applicable. |
Unbound |
Select whether or not the selected field is bound to a list or not. |
Persistable |
Select whether or not the selected field the information entered in the field by the user is retained in the database. |
Optional |
Select whether the selected field is optional or mandatory. |
Masked |
Select whether or not the selected field will be masked when values are entered (e.g. credit card numbers online). |
Readable |
Select whether or not the field is readable. |
Writeable |
Select whether or not the field is writable. |
