Before You Begin

Before you begin this procedure, ensure you have:

Cancelling Printed Tickets in a Batch

You can cancel performance or bundle tickets if the tickets have not been used, and you have the permission to do so. If you want to cancel ticket numbers provided by a third party and are thus not attached to an order within AudienceView, refer to Adding or Cancelling Third Party Tickets.

The following procedure will only cancel performance and bundle tickets.

To cancel tickets, complete the following:

  1. Open the Utilities application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Print tab.
The Print|Print Query Select page appears.
Your organization may have additional queries created using the Business Intelligence and Reports application.
  3. Select General Print Cancel from the Batch Print Cancel section.
The query opens in the Print|Print Cancel page.
  4. Enter your search criteria.
For more information, refer to Utilities Print-Print Cancel Page.
  5. Click 'Search'.
Your search results appear in the select tickets section. Each ticket on the order displays on its own line. If multiple pages of search results are displayed, you can use the '<< Previous' and 'Next >>' buttons to open the additional pages. Tickets that have been used are not displayed in your search results.
  6. To cancel only selected tickets, in the search results section, select the check box next to each ticket that you want to cancel.
Click 'Select All' to select all of the tickets on the current page. This will not select tickets on other pages. If you want to print all of the search results, you can choose 'Cancel All Tickets' at the end of this procedure.
  7. In the cancel criteria section, if you want to use your search criteria to further filter which tickets to cancel, select the applicable criteria.
For example, your search for orders containing Performance A returned an order with three performances, including Performance A. If you select Cancel Queried Performance(s), only Performance A tickets will be cancelled.

These selections are defined by the entries made in your search criteria fields:

    • Cancel Queried Bundle(s)
    • Cancel Queried Hold Zones(s)
    • Cancel Queried Performance(s)
    • Cancel Queried Price Type(s)
    • Cancel Queried Price Zone(s)
    • Cancel Queried Row(s)
    • Cancel Queried Section(s)
  8. Enter a reason for cancelling the print in the 'Cancel Reason' field.
  9. If you want to cancel the tickets you selected earlier, click 'Cancel Selected Tickets'.
If you want to cancel all tickets returned in your search results (including results found on multiple pages), click 'Cancel All Tickets'.

A window confirms the application cancelled the tickets and indicates the number of tickets cancelled.

  10. Click 'OK'.
