Before you can provide Fortress-compatible tickets and passes to your customers, you must specify the delivery methods AudienceView should use when sending printing requests to Fortress. These delivery methods have the Fortress gateway specified on them, which tells AudienceView to send the request. If the Fortress gateway is not specified on the appropriate delivery method, Fortress printing cannot occur.
To configure delivery methods for Fortress-compatible tickets and passes, complete the following:
- Open the General Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.
- Select the Delivery Methods tab.
The Delivery Method|Search page appears.
- Click 'Create New'.
The Delivery Methods|Basic page appears.
- Specify the name of this new delivery method in the 'Name' field.
- Select the method you want to use to provide customers with Fortress-enabled tickets or passes from the 'Type' dropdown.
 | Hint If you want the print request to be sent immediately upon purchase, select Pick Up Now.
If you want some print requests to be delayed (e.g. printed in a batch later), create a second Fortress delivery method with a type of Pick up Later. |
- Select Fortress from the 'Gateway' dropdown.
This is the gateway configured in Configuring Fortress Gateways.
 | Caution This step must be performed to print to Fortress. Without specifying the Fortress gateway, printing to Fortress cannot occur. |
- Select the items that this delivery method can be used for from the 'Options' field.
To select more than one option, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
 | Hint If you are printing both passes and tickets, select Tickets and Passes from the list. |
- Select the user roles that can use this delivery method from the 'Roles' field.
To select more than one user role, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
- Click 'Create'.
A window confirms that the application created the delivery method.
- Click 'OK'.
