Exporting AudienceView Configurations

You can export current configuration data from AudienceView, and save it to be imported back into the system or an alternate environment. For example, a venue can be exported from a staging environment and then it can be easily imported into the production environment.

To export configuration data, complete the following:

  1. Open the application that you want to work with (e.g. General Configuration, Venue Configuration, Content Management) from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the tab that you want to work with (e.g. payment methods, venue, sites).
    The associated Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the configurable item that you want to export. For more information, refer to Performing Searches.
    The applicable Basic page appears.
  4. Click next to the 'Export' button.
  5. Select the desired export option:
    • Email
    • Download
    • Print
    • Screen
  6. Choose an option:
If you are Then
emailing the export, In the Email dialog box:
  1. Select Extract Proof (text/plain) from the 'Template' dropdown.
  2. Enter the email address of the recipient into the 'Email Address' field.
  3. Optionally, enter a subject and message into the 'Message Subject' and 'Message' fields, respectively.
  4. Click 'Execute'.
downloading the export, In the Download dialog box:
  1. Select Extract Proof (text/plain) from the 'Template' dropdown.
  2. Click 'Execute'.
  3. Follow the Windows prompts to open or save the file.
printing the export, In the Print dialog box:
  1. Select Extract Proof (text/plain) from the 'Template' dropdown.
  2. Select a printer from the 'Available Printers' field. The available printers are configured by your system administrator. 
  3. Click 'Execute'.

  1. Select Extract Proof (text/plain) from the 'Template' dropdown.
  2. Click 'Execute'.
