To assign subsystem attributes to an existing user, complete the following:
- Open the Application Security application from the AudienceView Desktop.
The User|Search page appears.
- Search for and select the user that you want to work with. For more information, refer to the Application Security Users-Search Page and Performing Searches.
The User|Basic page appears.
- Select the Attributes tab.
The User|Attributes page appears.
- Select the subsystem you want to work with from the list on the left side of the page.
- Click 'Add Rule'.
A set of fields display.
- Select the attribute (that is field) you want to work with from the 'Attribute' dropdown.
If the dropdown is empty, click
to select the attribute from the Attribute dialog box.
- Specify details pertaining to this attribute.

- For each attribute that you want to define for the selected subsystem, repeat the process from Step 6.
- For each subsystem that you want to work with, repeat the process from Step 4.
- Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the application updated the user.
- Click 'OK'.
The application highlights the subsystem in blue.
