Because the dataloader is chiefly used to load large amounts of data into AudienceView, it is important that you ensure that you plan your dataloading carefully.
Plan and Organize Steps
Ensure that you have a plan to load data in the appropriate order. For example, customers should be loaded before customer users or orders are loaded. Plan out all of the steps of your loading process, ensuring that you have correct data files and correct control files.
Absence of Log File
A log file is not created when using the dataloader. This will make troubleshooting difficult if there are any problems with the dataload. Contact your System Delivery associate if there are any problems.
Perform Regular Backups
During the course of your dataload, perform regular backups of the data. This will allow you to return and reload data if any issues are found.
