Scheduling a Dataloader Job to be Run

Once your dataloader job has been created and saved, you can schedule when the job is run, either immediately, at a specific time or periodically by day, week or month. You are able to keep the dataloader job as a 'draft' and then wait until you want to run or schedule the dataloader job. You are able to ensure the dataloader job is not sent by ensuring that the 'Unscheduled' radio button is selected in the dataloader job scheduling group box.

To schedule your dataloader job, complete the following:

  1. Open the Utilities application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Dataloader tab.
    The Dataloader|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the dataloader job that you want to work with. For more information, refer to the Utilities Dataloader-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Dataloader|Load page appears.
  4. Click the appropriate scheduling option for your dataloader job by selecting the desired radio button from the 'Schedule Option' radio buttons:
    1. Run Now: To run the dataloader job immediately:
      1. Click the 'Run Now' radio button. The dataloader job will be run once you click 'Apply'.
    2. Run Later: To run the dataloader job at a later specified time:
      1. Click the 'Run Later' radio button. The 'Scheduled Time' and 'Start Date' fields appear.
      2. Select the hour and minute that you want the dataloader job to be run using the 'Scheduled Time' hour and minute dropdowns.
      3. Enter the desired date that you want the dataloader job to be run in the 'Start Date' field or click to select a date.

    3. Daily: To run the dataloader job daily at a specific time:
      1. Click the 'Daily' radio button. The 'Scheduled Time', 'Start Date' and 'End Date' fields appear.
      2. Select the hour and minute that you want the dataloader job to be run using the 'Scheduled Time' hour and minute dropdowns.
      3. Select date that you want the dataloader job to start running using the 'Start Date' field or click to select a date.

      4. Select the date that you want the dataloader job to stop running using the 'End Date' field or click to select a date.

    4. Weekly: To run the dataloader job weekly at a specific time:
      1. Select the hour and minute that you want the dataloader job to be run using the 'Scheduled Time' hour and minute dropdowns.
      2. Select date that you want the dataloader job to start running using the 'Start Date' field or click to select a date.

      3. Select the date you want the dataloader job to stop running using the 'End Date' field or click to select a date.

      4. Select the specific day of the week that you want to run the dataloader job from the 'Day of Week' field.
        To select more than one day of the week, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
    5. Monthly: To run the dataloader job monthly at a specific time:
      1. Click the 'Monthly' radio button. The 'Scheduled Time', 'Start Date', 'End Date' and 'Day of Month' fields appear.
      2. Select the hour and minute that you want the dataloader job to be run using the 'Scheduled Time' hour and minute dropdowns.
      3. Enter the date that you want the dataloader job to be run in the 'Start Date' field or click to select a date.

      4. Enter the date that you want the dataloader job to stop running in the 'End Date' field or click to select a date.

      5. Select the specific day of the month that you want to run the dataloader job from the 'Day of Month' field:
        To select more than one day of the month, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections

        To run the dataloader job on the last day of the month, select Last.
  5. Click 'Apply'.
    The system commits your schedule option. The dataloader job will be run at the time that you have selected.

After you run a dataloader job using Run Now or Run Later, the schedule reverts to Unscheduled.
