The Find Bundles Dialog Box

When you click next to a 'Bundle' field the Find Bundles dialog box appears. You can use this dialog box to search for bundles.

The following image illustrates the Find Bundles dialog box:

The Find Bundles dialog box contains the following properties:

Field Description
Name Enables you to filter the search based on the name of the bundle.
To add additional fields, click or press CTRL+TAB once you have made an entry.
Description Enables you to filter the search based on the description of the bundle.
To add additional fields, click or press CTRL+TAB once you have made an entry.
Bundle Group Enables you to filter the search based on the bundle group.
To select more than one bundle group, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
Page Size Enables you to specify the number of records to display per page returned in the results.

To search for and select a bundle, complete the following:

  1. Enter the desired search criteria in the appropriate fields in the search bundles group box.
  2. Click 'Search'.
    The system returns all of the bundles matching your entered search criteria and displays them in the search results display box.
    If multiple pages of search results are displayed, you can use the '<< Previous' and 'Next >>' buttons to open the additional pages.
    You cannot select items across multiple pages. If the two or more items that you want to select do not appear on the same page, you can:
    1. Increase the 'Page Size' to search again.
    2. Narrow your search by modifying your search criteria.
  3. Select the check box beside the desired bundle(s).
    The system displays a checkmark in the check box beside the bundle.
    • To deselect a bundle, click on the checkmark beside the bundle.
      The system removes the checkmark from the check box beside the bundle.
    • To select all of the bundles displayed in the search results display box, click 'Select All'.
      All of the currently displayed bundles in the search results display box are marked for selection.
    • To deselect all of the bundles displayed in the search results display box, click 'Deselect All'.
      All of the currently selected bundles in the search results display box are no longer marked for selection.
      The 'Deselect All' button only appears after the 'Select All' button has been clicked.
  4. Click 'Apply'

The Find Bundles Dialog Box - Messages|Build Page

When you click the 'Build Link' button on the Correspondence application Messages|Build page and select Bundle from the dropdown, the following Find Bundles dialog box appears. You can use this dialog box to search for performances, and then create links to them in emails.

When accessed via the Messages|Build page, the Find Bundles dialog box contains the following properties:

Field Description
Name Enables you to filter the search based on the name of the bundle.

Description Enables you to filter the search based on the description of the bundle.
To add additional fields, click or press CTRL+TAB once you have made an entry.
Bundle Group Enables you to filter the search based on the bundle group.
To select more than one bundle group, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
Page Size Enables you to specify the number of records to display per page returned in the results.
Base URL Select the base URL that you would like to associate the link with from the dropdown.
Information
The 'Base Site URLs' are defined in the Site URLs list. For more information, refer to Configuring Lists.
Language Select the language from the dropdown.
Link Once a bundle has been selected, the link to it appears in this field.
Link Name Enables you to categorize the links that you embed in messages.
For example, you could select a 'Link Name' of Electronic to any links that are related to electronic music bundles. Then you can create a Correspondence BI query using the Response Link Name criteria or a Customer BI query using the Correspondence Response Link Name criteria to target customers who clicked on an Electronic link. For more information, refer to Business Intelligence and Reports - Business Intelligence.
Information
The 'Link Names' are defined in the Link Name list. For more information, refer to Configuring Lists.
Caution
When users click on more than one link from an email in the same session, only the first link is registered in the audit; however, if they take further action after clicking the link (e.g. purchase the item) then the click-through is registered in the audit.
Because users have to log in to check Internal messages, links included in Internal messages are not added to the audit unless users log out or take further action after clicking the link (e.g. purchase the item).
Campaign Enables you to enter a name for the email marketing campaign (e.g. Fall 2013 Newletter) for use with Google Analytics.
This field does not appear unless Analytics has been enabled for the Correspondence application.
Content Enables you to enter a brief description of the content of the email (e.g. 20%-off Fall 2013 Events) for use with Google Analytics.
This field does not appear unless Analytics has been enabled for the Correspondence application.
Medium Enables you to enter the medium used to communicate with customers for use with Google Analytics. In most cases this will be Email.
This field does not appear unless Analytics has been enabled for the Correspondence application.
Source Enables you to enter the name of the company/list used to send the email to customers for use with Google Analytics. This is particularly important if your organization also uses an outside email marketing company.
This field does not appear unless Analytics has been enabled for the Correspondence application.

To create a link to a bundle in a message, complete the following:

  1. Enter the message text for the link (e.g. 'Click HERE for this package').
  2. Highlight the text that you want to build the bundle link upon (e.g. 'HERE' in 'Click HERE for this package').
    If no text is selected, the link will be created using the selected bundle name. The link will be inserted at the position of the cursor.
  3. Select Bundle from the 'Build Link' dropdown.
    The Find Bundles dialog box appears.
  4. Enter the desired search criteria in the appropriate fields in the search bundles group box.
  5. Adjust the number of entries that will be returned in the select site results box in the 'Page Size' field.
  6. To reset the entered search criteria, click the 'Reload' button. The entered search criteria are cleared.
  7. Click 'Search'.
    The system returns all of the bundles matching your entered search criteria and displays them in the search results display box.
    If multiple pages of search results are displayed, you can use the '<< Previous' and 'Next >>' buttons to open the additional pages.

  8. Click the desired bundle.
    The link for the bundle is displayed in the 'Link' field.
  9. Select the appropriate base site for the URL in the 'Base Site URL' dropdown.
  10. If Google Analytics has been enabled for the Correspondence application, complete the 'Campaign', 'Content', 'Medium' and 'Source' fields.
  11. Click 'Insert Link'.
    The bundle link is inserted.
  12. Click 'Apply'
    A window confirms that the application updated the message.
  13. Click 'OK'.

The Find Bundles Dialog Box - Article|Text Page

When you click the 'Build Link' button on the Content Management application Article|Text page and select Bundle from the dropdown, the following Find Bundles dialog box appears. You can use this dialog box to search for performances, and then create links to them in articles.

  10. If you want use the article/link in the AudienceView Desktop and online, then click 'Insert Link Tag'.
    The bundle link tag is inserted.
  11. Click 'Apply'
    A window confirms that the application updated the article.
  12. Click 'OK'.
