Removing a Gift from an Order

You can delete the gift if necessary if a receipt has not yet been issued to the donor.

To remove a gift from an order, complete the following:

  1. Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Order tab.
    The Order|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the order that you want to work with. For more information, refer to Searching for an Order.
  4. Select the Gifts tab.
    The Order|Gifts page appears.
    If no check box is visible, a receipt has been issued and you cannot delete the gift.
  5. In the gifts section, select the 'del?' check box next to the gift you want to delete.
  6. Click 'Update Details'.
    The gift is removed from the order.
  7. Select the Order|Summary page, to review the Amount Due and make changes as required.
  8. Click 'Apply'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the order.
  9. Click 'OK'.
If a membership was associated with the gift, and you no longer want to grant the customer access to the corresponding benefit, the membership or benefit will have to be manually removed from the Customer Services application Customer|Entitlements|Memberships page or Customer|Entitlements|Memberships page. Removing the membership will also remove the benefit.
