ID TECH Payment Device Encryption (AudienceView 6.8.11)

The ID TECH SREDkey encrypted swipe and key pads allow users who are concerned about entering credit card information through a keyboard to enter data securely whether through swipe or keyed entry. This PCI compliant device is suitable for use at the window or in the back office, call centre, group sales or subscription/season ticket departments. This device does not replace EMV enabled devices.

For more information on how to order these devices, contact your customer success manager.
Your customer success manager will also tell you which IDTech Terminal you should select from the 'Column Name' dropdown. If the value does not appear, contact your customer success manager. It must be added by AudienceView.
 
Information
ID TECH will provide two 32 hexadecimal keys for their devices to two different people in your organization.

To encrypt your ID TECH payment device, complete the following:
  1. Once you have connected to your database (as outlined in Key Ring Tab), select the Key Ring tab.
  2. Click 'Column Keys: Blank'.
    A pop-up window will display:

  3. Enter and verify the first key that was recieved from ID TECH in the 'Column Key 1' fields .
  4. Enter the component key check number (not the final key check number) in the 'Component Key Check' field.
  5. Click 'OK'.

  6. Enter and verify the second key that was recieved from ID TECH in the 'Column Key 2' fields.
  7. Enter the component key check number (not the final key check number) in the 'Component Key Check' field.
  8. Click 'OK'.
  9. Select the applicalbe IDTech Terminal that your customer success manager provided from the 'Column Name' dropdown.

  10. Click 'Add Key'.
  11. Restart IIS.
    This must be done for the key entries to take effect.

Troubleshooting

Key check validation failed

The following error message is displayed when the value entered in any of the 'Enter Key Column', 'Verify Key Column' or 'Component Key Check' fields is incorrect. No message is displayed when the values are correct.

This error does not clear the fields.

Entered Keys Do Not Match

The following error message is displayed when the value entered in any of the 'Enter Key Column' and 'Verify Key Column' fields do not match.

When this error occurs, the 'Enter Key Column' and 'Verify Key Column' fields are cleared, but not the value entered in the 'Component Key Check' field is not.
 

Final Key Check Failed

The following error message is displayed when the adding or changing a key failed (via the 'Add Key' and 'Change Key' buttons, respectively).
