Test Printing a PDF Ticket Template

Once the PDF ticket template has been created it can be test printed. Ensure that Acrobat Reader is installed on the computer that will be used for testing.

To perform a test of the PDF Ticket template, complete the following:

  1. Open the General Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Tickets tab.
    The Tickets|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the PDF ticket template that you want to test print. For more information, refer to General Configuration Tickets-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Tickets|Basic page appears.
  4. Select the Elements tab.
    The Tickets|Elements page appears.
  5. Click 'Test Print'.
    Acrobat Reader will be launched.
    1. To save a copy of the PDF, click 'Save'.
    2. To open the PDF without saving it, click 'Open'.
      The static text will appear directly on the background image, but all of the dynamic data will be represented by XX on the background image.
      If you have included any hyperlinks in the PDF ticket template, click on them to ensure that customers will be directed to the correct website.
  6. If any changes need to be made, close Acrobat Reader, and return to the PDF ticket template and perform the relevant changes. For more information, refer to Working with Elements.
  7. Apply the changes and test print the ticket again until it appears as desired.
