Adding Pricing to a Price Chart

Caution
Before you begin, be sure to save your price chart. This is important, especially if the price chart is already in use within the system (such as assigned to a performance or bundle).

To add pricing to a price chart, complete the following:

  1. Open the Venue Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Price Charts tab.
    The Price Charts|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the price chart that you want to add pricing to. For more information, refer to the Venue Configuration Price Charts-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Price Charts|Basic page appears.
    Hint
If you are adding a new price zone to the chart, select it from the price zones section of the Price Chart|Basic page by clicking on it while holding CTRL. If you do not hold CTRL while making your selection all of the price zones that are currently selected will be deselected.

  4. Select the Pricing tab.
    The Price Charts|Pricing page appears.
  5. Click 'Add Price Row'.
    A new price row appears.
  6. Select the price types that you want to associate with the price chart from the 'Price Types' field.
To select more than one price type, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
  7. Select the roles that you want to associate with the price chart from the 'Roles' field.
To select more than one role, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
  8. If you want to grant access to the pricing using a promotional code, enter the code in the 'Promotion Code' field or click  to search for the code. For more information, refer to The Find Promotion Codes Dialog Box.
The selected promotional code will display in the 'Promotion Code' field.
    Information
If you add a promotional code to a pricing row and you want a charge to be applied, you must add the same promotional code to the appropriate charge on the Price Chart|Charges page.
For more information, refer to Managing Charges on a Price Chart.
    1. If the promotional code does not have an access code, only those customers with a benefit that has the associated promo code will be able to access the pricing.
    2. If the promotional code has an access code, customers or box office staff must enter the access code to access the pricing.
  9. Enter the monetary value of a single admission for each applicable price zone in the 'Price Zones' fields.
    Hint
Each price row must have a unique combination of 'Price Types', 'Roles' and 'Promotion Code' selected.

  10. For every price row that you want to add to the price chart, repeat the process from Step 5.
  11. Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the application updated the price chart.
  12. Click 'OK'.
