Expiring a User Account

Users that are attached to an order cannot be deleted. If you want to prevent the user from logging in, you can set an end date for the user’s account if you have the appropriate permissions. Once you expire a users account, it can always be re-opened.

To expire a user’s account, complete the following:

  1. Open the Application Security application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Users tab.
    The Users|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the user that you want to expire. For more information, refer to the Application Security - Users|Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Users|Basic page appears.
  4. Enter the date from which you do not want the user to be able to access the account in the 'End Date' field or click to select a date. For more information, refer to Using the Calendar to Select a Date.
    Hint
    You can always remove the end date to reactivate the user’s account.
  5. Click 'Apply'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the user.
  6. Click 'OK'.
