Tracking Program Pledges and Donations

Pledges are monies that are promised to a particular program, campaign or appeal, while gifts are monies that have actually been received and the donor’s tax receipt has been printed.

You can print tax receipts in a batch using the Utilities application or individually using Customer Services.

Pledges and gift can be tracked on both the Programs|Details, Programs|Campaigns, Programs|Appeals, and Programs|Gifts pages, depending on the level of detail for which you are looking.
The Programs|Details, Programs|Campaigns, and Programs|Appeals pages display the total value of pledges and donations, and the Programs|Gifts page displays links to the orders in which pledges or donations were made.
You can also report on multiple campaigns using the Donation Detail Summary report available from the Business Intelligence and Reports application.

Tracking with the Programs|Gifts Page

To track program donations and view additional donation details using the Programs|Gifts page, complete the following:

  1. Open the Funds Management application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Programs tab.
    The Programs|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the program with the tracking that you want to view. For more information, refer to Funds Management Programs-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Programs|Details page appears.
  4. Select the Gifts tab.
    The Programs|Gifts page appears.
    The page displays all of the donations that have been made to the program that have been paid and for which tax receipts has been printed. You can view the details of the associated order by clicking an item on this page. This will open the Customer Services application's Order|Gifts page.
  5. If multiple pages of donations are displayed, you can use the '<< Previous' and 'Next >>' buttons to open the additional pages.
