In the event that the user has forgotten their password, you can assign a new password for the user. When the user attempts to login with the new password, the application will prompt the user to change their password.
To assign a new password to a user, complete the followings steps:
- Open the Application Security application from the AudienceView Desktop.
- Select the Users tab.
The Users|Search page appears.
- Search for and select the user that you want to work with. For more information, refer to the Application Security Users-Search Page and Performing Searches.
The Users|Basic page appears.
- Enter a temporary password in the 'Password' and 'Confirm Password' fields.
- Click 'Change Password'.
A window confirms that the application updated the password.
- Click 'OK'.
The application sets the password expiry to the current date and time.
- Give the temporary password to the user. When the user logs in using this password, the user will be prompted to create a new password for the account.
