Assigning a New Password

In the event that the user has forgotten their password, you can assign a new password for the user. When the user attempts to login with the new password, the application will prompt the user to change their password.

To assign a new password to a user, complete the followings steps:

  1. Open the Application Security application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Users tab.
    The Users|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the user that you want to work with. For more information, refer to the Application Security Users-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Users|Basic page appears.
  4. Enter a temporary password in the 'Password' and 'Confirm Password' fields.
  5. Click 'Change Password'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the password.
  6. Click 'OK'.
    The application sets the password expiry to the current date and time.
  7. Give the temporary password to the user. When the user logs in using this password, the user will be prompted to create a new password for the account.
