Before You Begin
Before creating a PayPal Express Checkout payment method, ensure you have:
- Created roles to have access to the payment method. If these have not been created, you can assign them at any time. For more information, refer to Creating a Role.
- Created a ticket template, if applicable. If this has not been created, you can assign it at any time.
- Ensure that you have your organization's PayPal merchant account information, particularly the user/vendor name and password.
Creating a PayPal Express Checkout Payment Method
Once you create a payment method it can be assigned to a performance and be used throughout AudienceView.
To create a new PayPal Express Checkout payment method, complete the following:
- Open the General Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.
- Select the Payment Methods tab.
The Payment Methods|Search page appears.
- Click 'Create New'.
The Payment Methods|Basic page appears.
- Enter PayPal in the 'Name' field.
- Select PayPal from the 'Type' dropdown.
- Select PayPal from the 'Gateway' dropdown.
- To create a PayPal Express Checkout payment method, complete the following:
- Copy and paste /online/images/payment_method_paypal_express.png into the 'Express Checkout Button Image' field. This is the image that will display as the 'Express Checkout' button.
- Select Supports Express Checkout from the 'Options' field.
- Complete the remaining applicable fields.

Caution
Once you save the payment method, you cannot modify the 'Type' field. |
- Click 'Create'.
A window confirms that the application created the payment method.
- Click 'OK'.

Hint
If the PayPal Payment Gateway is already in use/has already been configured, you do not need to take any further action.
If the PayPal payment gateway has not been configured, proceed to Step 12. |
- Open the Registry application from the AudienceView Desktop.
- Navigate to the System::Configuration::Payment Gateways::PayPal node.
- Ensure that https://payflowpro.paypal.com/ appears in the 'Host URL' field.
- Ensure that PayPal is entered in the 'Partner' field.
- Enter the user/vendor name associated with your organization's PayPal account in the 'User' and 'Vendor' fields.
- Click 'Set Password'.
- Enter the password associated with your organization's PayPal account in the 'New Password' field.
- Enter the password associated with your organization's PayPal account in the 'Re-type New Password' field.
- Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the application updated the Registry.
- Click 'OK'.
