If a cap is not set against a charge, it is assumed that the charge will be applied per item (e.g admission, miscellaneous item). If you want the charge to be applied a limited number of times you need to create a charge cap.

Information
For example, if you want a per order transaction fee of $5.00 charged on all Internet orders:

Create a new charge.

On the Charges|Caps page, set a cap of 1 for the Internet role.

On the Charges|Pricing page, set the threshold for the Internet role to $5.00.

Add the charge to your price charts for all price types, with the 'Calculation' set to Order.

To place a cap on a charge, complete the following:

Open the Product Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.

Select the Charges tab.
The Charges|Search page appears.

Search for and select the charge that you want to add a cap to. For more information, refer to the Product Configuration Charges-Search Page and Performing Searches.
The Charges|Details page appears.

Select the Cap tab.
The Charges|Cap page appears.

Click 'Add Entry'.
A new charge cap row appears.

Select the roles that you want to apply the cap to from the 'Roles' field.
To select more than one user role, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.

Enter the number of times that you want the charge to be applied in the 'Cap' field.

For every cap row that you want to add, repeat the process from Step 5.

Click 'Apply'.
A window confirms that the application updated the charge.

Click 'OK'.
