Updating Holds for Multiple Performances

 

You can update holds for multiple performances at once, if the performances have the same seat map and you have the appropriate permissions. 

You can only update seats for multiple performances at once that meet the following conditions:

  • The seats have the same hold type for all selected performances or have no hold type for all selected performance.
  • The seats are sold for all selected performances or unsold for all selected performances, unless the seats are on the current order.
  • The seats are not on offer for all of the selected performances. 

Seats that have the same hold type for all selected performances will appear with a coloured ring around the seat. The colour for the hold type is defined in the holds legend. Seats that have different hold types for different performances or have a hold for some performances and not others, will appears with a black ring around the seat. Seats that are sold for all selected performances will appear with a letter over the seat, representing one of the price types associated with the seat. Double-click on one of these seats to see the order details regarding all selected performances. Seats that are sold for some performances and not others, or are on offer for any performances, will appear faded.

Adding a Hold to a Seat or Changing the Type of Hold on a Seat

To add a hold to a seat or change the type of hold on a seat, complete the following:

  1. Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Seats tab.
    The Seats|Search page appears.
  3. Search for the performances for which you want to add a hold to a seat  or change the type of hold for a seat.

  4. Select the check box next to each performance for which you want to add a hold to a seat or change the type of hold for a seat.
    You cannot select performances on multiple pages. If the two or more performances you want to select do not appear on the same page, increase the page size or narrow your search by modifying your search criteria.
  5. Click 'Map Select'.
    The Seats|Map page appears.
  6. In the holds legend, click on the hold type you want to apply to a seat.
    If you do not see the holds legend, click 'H'.
  7. Click on the seat(s) you want to apply a hold to.
  8. Click 'Update Changes'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the holds.

Removing a Hold from a Seat

To remove a hold from a seat, complete the following:

  1. Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Seats tab.
    The Seats|Search page appears.
  3. Search for the performances with a hold you want to remove from a seat.

  4. Select the check box next to each performance with a hold you want to remove from a seat.
    You cannot select performances on multiple pages. If the two or more performances you want to select do not appear on the same page, increase the page size or narrow your search by modifying your search criteria.
  5. Click 'Map Select'.
  6. The Seats|Map page appears.
  7. Hold down the SHIFT key and click on the seat(s) you want to remove a hold from.
  8. Click 'Update Changes'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the holds.
Hint
It can be difficult to see the hold type colour behind a price type letter. It is recommend that you do not update holds and apply price types at the same time. If you have already selected a price type for this seat, you will need to hold SHIFT and click once to remove it, a second time to remove the hold and then reassign the price type.
