Adding Seats to an Order Using the Seats|Map Page

To add seats to an order using the Seat Map, complete the following:

  1. Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Seats tab.
    The Seats|Search page appears.
  3. Search for the performance(s) that you want to work with. For information, refer to Searching for a Performance Using the Seats|Search Page.
    The results display in the select performance section. If multiple pages of search results are displayed, you can use the '<< Previous' and 'Next >>' buttons to open the additional pages.
    The Available Seats column displays the number of seats currently available if the information is available. You can verify the seating availability by clicking the check box next to the performance and clicking 'Availability'. For more information, refer to Creating a Performance Seating Request.

    To use Map Sales you can only work with performances from the same venue.
  4. Select the check box to the left of the performance that you want to work with.
    If the performances you want to work with are on multiple pages, you must modify your search to return the performances on the same page. For more information, refer to Searching for a Performance Using the Seats|Search Page. Click 'Select All' to select all of the customers on the current page.
  5. Click 'Map Select'.
    The Seats|Map page appears.
  6. Choose the desired price type from the 'Price Type' dropdown list in the right pane.
    The Prices section, if displayed, provides the pricing for the selected price type.
    If the desired price type is associated with a promotion, enter the promotion's 'Promotion Access Code' in the 'Promotion Access Code' field and click 'OK'. The price type should now appear in the 'Price Type' dropdown list. This textbox will only appear if a price type is associated with a promotion.
    Hint
    To cancel a selection, hold down the SHIFT key and click the desired seat.
  7. On the venue map, click the seats you want to add to the order for the selected price type. For more information, refer to Notes About Selecting Seats Using the Seats|Map.
    The seats are marked on the map with a symbol representing the selected price type. If you selected multiple performances, the same seats are selected for each performance.
  8. For each price type, repeat the process from Step 6.
  9. Choose an option:

complete the order, click 'Order Summary' located at the top of the page. The Order|Summary page appears from which you can complete your order.

view the cost of the admissions and prevent other users from selling the seats, click 'Update Changes' located at the top of the page.
The Admissions section of the right pane updates with the cost of the admissions. To complete the order, click 'Order Summary'.
