Deleting an Admission Using the Seats|Map Page

Once you add admissions to an order, you can use the Seats|Map page to delete an admission from an order if the ticket has not been used and the performance is still on sale.

To delete an admission from an order using the seat map, complete the following:

  1. Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Order tab.
    The Order|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the order that you want to work with. For more information, refer to Searching for an Orders.
    The Order|Summary page appears.
  4. Click on the seat’s section, row or seat for the admission on the Order|Summary page.
    The Seats|Map page appears. Seats that are part of the order display in larger letters:
  5. Hold down the SHIFT key and click the seat(s) you want to delete.
    The application removes the price type from the seat(s).
    Until you save your changes to the order, the deleted seat(s) appear faded.

  6. If you want to place the deleted seat(s) on hold, refer to Adding a Hold to a Seat or Changing the Type of Hold on a Seat.
    The coloured ring indicating the seat(s) is on hold disappears when you click 'Update Changes'. The coloured ring will reappear once the order is saved.
  7. Click 'Order Summary'.
    The Order|Summary page appears.
  8. Click 'Apply'.
    By default, the window prompts you to enter a reason for releasing the admission(s).
  9. Enter the reason in the field.
  10. Click 'OK'
    If the amount due on the order has changed, a window prompts you to confirm that you want to continue. For more information on refunding or adding payments, refer to Handling Customer Payments.
  11. Click 'OK'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the order.
  12. Click 'OK'.
