Deleting an Admission from an Order

Once you add admissions to a new or existing order, you can use the Order|Seats|Seats page to delete an admission from an order if the ticket has not been used and the performance is still on sale. Since you cannot cancel a saved order, you can instead use this functionality to remove the seats from the order. To delete admissions using the seating map, refer to Deleting an Admission Using the Seating Map.

A seat removed from an order before creating the order becomes available immediately to other users. If you remove a seat from an order that was already created it becomes available to other users once you save the order. If you do not want the tickets to go back on sale, you can place the seat on hold before removing it from the order. For more information, refer to Updating Holds for a Single Performance.

To delete an admission from an order, complete the following:

  1. Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Order tab.
    The Order|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the order you want to work with. For more information, refer to Searching for an Order.
    The Order|Summary page appears.
  4. Select the Seats tab.
    The Order|Seats|Seats page appears.
  5. If there are multiple performances on the order, select the performance you want to work with.
  6. Choose an option:
    If you want to delete Then
    all admissions for the selected performance, Click 'Select All'.
    This will only select the admissions for the currently displayed performance.
    a single admission, Select the check box next to the admission you want to delete.
  7. Click 'Delete'.
    The application removes the selected admissions.
  8. Update the payment details, if necessary.

  9. Click 'Apply'.
    If the tickets have already been printed, the application cancels the tickets. By default, the application prompts you to enter a reason for cancelling the tickets.

    A window confirms that the application updated the order.

  10. Click 'OK'.
