Assigning a Marketing Preference

To assign a marketing preference option to a group, complete the following:

  1. Open the Application Security application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Group tab.
    The Group|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the group that you are assigning a marketing preference. For more information, refer to Application Security Group-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Group|Basic page appears.
  4. Select the Attributes tab.
    The Group|Attributes pages appears.
  5. Select the TSmessageBO property.
  6. Click 'Add Rule'
  7. Select Message: Marketing Preference from the 'Attribute Name' dropdown.
    The screen refreshes.
  8. Select the communication preference option that you want to set against the group from the 'Default Value' dropdown.
  9. Select Yes from the 'Readable' dropdown.
  10. Select No from the 'Writeable' dropdown.
  11. Click 'Apply'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the group.
  12. Click 'OK'.
If you do not want to lock down an option for a group, but want to limit the available options, select Yes from the 'Writeable' dropdown, and select the options that you want to make available from the 'List' field.
