Opting Customers Out of Email Marketing by Default

By default, customers are opted-in to receiving marketing emails from your organization. You can configure AudienceView so that every customer is not automatically signed-up to receive marketing emails.

To configure your system so that customers are automatically opted-out of receiving marketing emails, complete the following:

  1. Open the Registry application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Navigate to the Registry::EN::Business Objects::TScustomerBO::Customer::Customer Marketing Preferences node.
  3. Select No, do not send me information about promos! from the 'Default Value' field.
  4. Click 'Apply'
    A window confirms that the application updated the Registry.
  5. Click 'OK'.
You can add additional values to the Customer Marketing Preferences list so that you can create different mailing list options. For more information, refer to Opt-Out Options - Customer Marketing List.
