The Promotional Codes|Details Page

The Product Configuration application Promotional Codes|Details page contains the following properties:

Field Description
Promotional Code Enter a code to be used to identify the promotional code. The promotional code must be carried by the customer on the order to expose the associated promotion. To associate a promotional code with a customer, it must be added to a benefit. Benefits can then be earned by the customer in various ways. Internal promotional codes cannot be entered manually on an order to expose the associated promotion.
Promotional Code Description Enter a description of the promotional code. This can be used by users when searching for the promotional code.
Promotional Code Short Description A short description for the promotional code. This is not published to the end user and could be used to store an internal code describing the promotional code (e.g. PROMO0001).
Promotional Code Access Code The name of the access code that will be associated with the promotional code (e.g. OnlinePromo_1). If there is an access code associated with the promotional code then the access code must be entered on the order to expose the associated promotion (e.g. an online user would enter the promotional code to activate it).
Once you have created a promotional code, the 'One Time Access Code' button will become active. This allows you to enter a number of single-use access codes for any one promotional code. For more information, refer to Adding Single-Use Access Codes to a Promotional Code.
Caution
'Promotional Code Access Codes' must be unique across all promotional codes.
Article Links an article to the promotional code. When a customer enters a promotional code online, a link to the article will appear below it. Enter the name of the article or click to search for the article. For more information, refer to The Find Articles Dialog box.
Information
This field is only applicable if a 'Promotional Code Access Code' is entered.
Starting Date Enter the start date for the promotional code in the field or click to select a date. The promotional code is only available on or after this date. If you do not enter a date, the application will use the current date.
For more information on selecting a date refer to Using a Calendar to Add a Date.
Ending Date Enter the end date for the promotional code in the field or click to select a date. The promotional code is not available for use on or after this date. If you do not enter a date and time, the application leaves the field blank, allowing the rate to be effective until modified.
For more information on selecting a date refer to Using a Calendar to Add a Date.
Use caution when assigning an end date. Once the date has passed, the promotional code cannot be used again. This can also prevent updating or copying a price chart if, for example, the promotional code assigned to a price chart expires before the price chart does.

To select more than one delivery method, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
