Copying a Saved Query

Any query that has been saved can be copied to make a new query with a different name, which can then be modified. This is useful when you are creating a new query that is very similar to a query you have already saved or to modify a query created by another user.

When updating a preloaded, default BI query it is recommended that you save a copy of the BI and update the copied version.
You can only view and copy a query created by another user if it was saved as Public or Readable.

To copy a saved query, complete the following:

  1. Open the Business Intelligence and Reports application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Business Intelligence tab.
    The Business Intelligence|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the query you want to work with. For more information, refer to the Business Intelligence-Search Page and Performing Searches.
The Business Intelligence|Results page appears. The current result members are displayed in the result members section.
  4. Expand the save lists and extracts section.
  5. Enter a name for the new query in the 'Name' field.
  6. Modify the query as desired.
    For more information, refer to:
  7. Click 'Save Copy'.
A window confirms that the application created the query.
  8. Click 'OK'.

You do not need to save your changes to view or extract the results.
