Adding a Miscellaneous Item to a Bundle

The Bundles|Miscellaneous Items page enables you to sell miscellaneous items to customers with the purchase of a bundle. The value of the miscellaneous item is added to the value of the order.

To add a miscellaneous item to a bundle, complete the following (if you are adding a miscellaneous item to a new bundle, proceed to Step 4):

  1. Open the Product Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.
    The Bundles|Search page appears.
  2. Search for and select the bundle that you want to add a miscellaneous item to. For more information, refer to Product Configuration Bundles-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Bundles|Details page appears.
  3. Select the Miscellaneous Items tab.
    The Bundles|Miscellaneous Items page appears.
  4. Click 'Add Miscellaneous Item'.
    A new miscellanoues item row appears. For more information, refer to Product Configuration Bundles-Miscellaneous Items Page.
  5. Enter the name of the miscellaneous item in the 'Miscellaneous Item' field, or click to search for and select the miscellaneous item

  6. Select the default option (e.g. medium, large) that you want to offer customers from the 'Default Option' dropdown.
  7. Enter the minimum quantity of the selected miscellaneous item that must be purchased with the bundle in the 'Min # Items per Bundle' field.
    Hint
    If you do not require customer to purchase the miscellaneous item, enter 0 in the field.
  8. Enter the maximum quantity of the selected miscellaneous item that can be purchased with the bundle in the 'Max # Items per Bundle' field.
  9. If you want to mamke alternate pricing available in the bundle, click 'Add Price'.
    A new price row appears.
  10. Select the role(s) that you want to make the pricing available to from the 'Roles' field.
    To select more than one user role, hold CTRL or SHIFT while making your selections.
  11. Enter the monetary value that you want to give the miscellaneous item for the selected role(s) in the 'Amount' field.
  12. For every role/price that you want to make available, repeat the process from Step 9.
  13. For every miscellaneous item that you want to add to the bundle, repeat the process from Step 4.
  14. Click 'Apply'
    If a date does not appear in the 'Effective Date' field on the Bundles|Details page or on the Bundles|Miscellaneous Items page, the application prompts you to confirm that the effective date will be set to the current date and time.
  15. Click 'OK'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the bundle.
  16. Click 'OK'.
Hint
If you want the miscellaneous item to be automatically added to the order when the bundle is added, ensure that nothing has been configured on the Product Configuration application Miscellaneous Items|Options page, and that the 'Min # Items per Bundle' and 'Max # Items per Bundle' fields on the Bundle|Miscellaneous Items page contain the same values.
