Creating a Bundle Version

A bundle’s version information specifies the version details (on the Bundles|Details page), pricing and performances (Bundles|Elements page), any gift cards/certificates (Bundles|Stored Value Items page), miscellaneous items (Bundles|Miscellaneous Items page) or donation (Bundles|Gifts page). Versions provide you with the means to change these details for a bundle, while maintaining a complete record of all previous versions. Creating a new version involves copying a previous version which can then be modified to reflect new requirements.

Versions can be set to take effect immediately or in the future. The version’s effective date/time determines when the current version will stop working and the new version and its values will take effect. You can edit values for a version that is currently effective or will be in the future, but not bundles that are no longer effective. You must have permission to create a new bundle version.

To create a new version, complete the following:

  1. Open the Product Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Bundles tab.
    The Bundles|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the bundle that you want to create a version of. For more information, refer to the Product Configuration Bundles-Search Page and Performing Searches.
The Bundles|Details page appears. The bundle versions section displays the versions. The current version is highlighted for editing.
  4. If you want to copy a version other than the one currently effective, click the version that you want to copy.
  5. Click 'Copy Version'.
A new version record is added to the end of the list with editing shown in the 'del?' column.
  6. If the version is effective any time after today’s date, enter the date into the 'Effective Date' field. Otherwise, the date will default to today’s date and time.
  7. Modify the information attached to the version as required. For more information, refer to Creating a Bundle, Adding Performances to a Bundle.
  8. Click 'Apply'.
If you did not specify an 'Effective Date' on the Bundles|Details page, the application confirms the use of the current date and time.
  9. Click 'OK'.
A window confirms that the application updated the bundle.
  10. Click 'OK'.
