Adding a Gift to a Bundle

The Bundles|Gift Products page enables you to solicit donations from customers when they purchase of a bundle. The value of the gift is added to the value of the order.

To add a gift to a bundle, complete the following:

  1. Open the Product Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.
    The Bundles|Search page appears.
  2. Search for and select the bundle that you want to add the gift to. For more information, refer to Product Configuration Bundles-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Bundles|Details page appears.
  3. Select the Gifts tab.
    The Bundles|Gifts page appears.
  4. Click 'Add Gift'.
    A new gift row appears. For more information, refer to Product Configuration Bundles-Gifts Page.
  5. Enter the name of the gift that you want to include in the bundle in the 'Gift' field or click to search for and select a gift.
    For more information, refer to The Find Gifts Dialog Box.
  6. Enter the default appeal for the gift in the 'Default Appeal' field.
  7. Select the default fund for the gift from the 'Default Fund' dropdown.
  8. Determine whether or not the gift is required with the purchase of the bundle. Select one of the following options from the 'Required' field:
    • Yes: The gift is required.
    • No: The gift is not required.
  9. For each gift that you want to add to the bundle, repeat from the process Step 5.
  10. Click 'Apply'
    If a date does not appear in the 'Effective Date' field on the Bundles|Details page or on the Bundles|Gifts page, the application prompts you to confirm that the effective date will be set to the current date and time.
  11. Click 'OK'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the bundle.
  12. Click 'OK'.
Hint
If you want the gift to be automatically added to the order when the bundle is added, ensure the 'Value Type' dropdown is set to Fixed and the 'Required' dropdown is set to Yes.
