Deleting a Seat

Once you have created seats, you can delete one or more seats if the seats are not associated to a template, there are no performances for the venue, and you have the appropriate permissions. If seats are associated to performances, first use Performance Management to remove the seats. For more information, refer to Removing an Admission Using the Performance Management Tab and Removing an Admission Using the Performances Tab.

To delete seats from a venue, complete the following:

  1. Open the Venue Configuration application from the AudienceView Desktop.
    The Venue|Search page appears.
  2. Search for and select the venue you want to work with. For more information, refer to the Venue Configuration Venue-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Venue|Basic page appears.
  3. Select the Seats tab.
    The Venue|Seats page appears.
  4. Select the seat(s) that you want to delete.
    For more information, refer to Selecting One or More Seats.
  5. Click 'Delete' in the seats detail section.
    A window prompts you to confirm the deletion of the selected seat.
  6. Click 'OK'.
  7. Click 'Apply'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the venue.
  8. Click 'OK'.
