Searching for an Order by Credit Card

You can search for orders by swiping the customer’s credit card associated to the order.

To search for orders using the customer’s credit card, complete the following:

  1. Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop. 
  2. Select the Order tab.
    The Order|Search page appears.
    Hint
    If you cannot swipe the card, you can enter the card number into the 'Payment Account Number' field available on the Default Order Search. For more information, refer to Using the Default Order Search.
  3. Click 'Click to Swipe Card'.
    The button changes colour to yellow, and the text changes to Please Swipe Card Now to indicate it is ready for swiping.
  4. Using your configured card reader, swipe the desired credit card.
    • If the button changes colour to green and the text changes to Card Swipe Success, you have successfully swiped the card. If the credit card was used to make a purchase, a list of all of the resulting orders appears in the select orders section. If multiple pages of search results are displayed, you can use the '<< Previous' and 'Next >>' buttons to view the additional pages. For more information, refer to Opening an Order.
    • If the button changes colour to red and the text changes to Card Swipe Failed, then the card was not successfully swiped. This could be the result of a corrupt magnetic stripe or an incomplete swipe. If you cannot successfully swipe the card, you can manually search by card number using the 'Payment Account Number' field.
