Setting the Default AudienceView Online Tax Receipt

You can set the default registered user tax receipt template, by defining a Gifts: Default Receipt Template rule for the corresponding user group’s Application Security application Group|Attributes page TSorderBO attribute. By default, all registered online users are assigned to the WebSales group.

The default tax receipt templates you can select from, include the following:

  • Standard Combined: Provides the standard thank you letter in combination with the tax receipt.
  • Standard Tax Receipt: Only provides the tax receipt.

These default templates are located within the %AudienceView%\Mail Merge Templates folder. For more information, refer to Creating a Mail Merge Template.

To set the default tax receipt template for registered online users, complete the following:

  1. Open the Application Security application from the AudienceView Desktop.
  2. Select the Group tab.
    The Group|Search page appears.
  3. Search for and select the WebSales group. For more information, refer to the Application Security Group-Search Page and Performing Searches.
    The Group|Basic page appears.
  4. Select the Attributes tab.
    The Group|Attributes page appears.
  5. Select the TSorderBO property.
    Rules currently defined for registered online user orders appear.
  6. Click 'Add Rule'.
    A blank rule appears.
  7. From the 'Attribute Name' field, select the Gifts: Default Receipt Template attribute by clicking and searching for it.
  8. From the 'Default Value' field, enter the name of the default thank you letter template.
  9. Click 'Apply'.
    A window confirms that the application updated the group.
  10. Click 'OK'.

This template is now specified by default, when generating tax receipts for registered online users.
