The Customer Biography Report displays a complete purchasing history for a customer account, including:

default contact name, address and phone number(s)

admissions
-
bundles
-
gifts
-
customer marketing data
-
extended attributes

To view the Customer Biography Report, complete the following:

Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop.
The Customer|Search page appears.

Search for and select the customer account whose Customer Biography Report you want to view. For more information, refer to Searching for a Customer or Contact.
If you selected the default contact, the Customer|Basic page will appear, otherwise the Customer|Advanced page will appear.

Select the Basic tab, if necessary.

Choose an option:

click next to the 'Customer Biography' button and select the desired option. This option also enables you to change the format of the report (e.g. CSV, PDF or HTML).

Changing the Output of the Customer Biography Report
When you run a generated or saved report, by default the report appears in a new window in Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) format. AudienceView enables you to change the report output to one of the following options:

Enables you to email the report to a recipient. You can email the report in multiple formats at once. |

Enables you to save the report to your local computer or network. |

Enables you to print the report. |
Screen |
Enables you to view the report on your screen. |
When changing a report’s output, you can also change the report’s format to one of the following options:

AVDoc |
Formats the report in Portable Document Format (PDF). |
CSV |
Formats the report in a Comma Separated Value (CSV) format. This format enables you to view the report in such applications as Microsoft Excel. |
HTML |
Formats the report in HTML. |
Text |
Formats the report in a text format. Text documents can be viewed in a text editor such as Notepad.
AudienceView does not provide a template to output to this format. |
To change the report’s output, complete the following:

Open the Customer Services application from the AudienceView Desktop.
The Customer|Search page appears.

Search for and select the customer account whose Customer Biography Report you want to view. For more information, refer to Searching for a Customer or Contact.
If you selected the default contact, the Customer|Basic page will appear, otherwise the Customer|Advanced page will appear.

Select the Basic tab, if necessary.

Click next to the 'Customer Biography' button.
A dropdown list appears.

Choose the report output from the dropdown list:

In the Email dialog box:

Select the format of the report (CSV, AVDocument or HTML) from the 'Template' field. To select multiple formats, use the SHIFT or CTRL buttons on your keyboard.

Enter the email address of the recipient into the 'Email Address' field.

Optionally, enter a subject and message into the 'Message Subject' and 'Message' fields, respectively.

Click 'Execute'.

Select the format of the report (CSV, AVDocument or HTML) from the 'Template' field.

Click 'Execute'.

Follow the Windows prompts to open or save the file.

In the Print dialog box:

Select the format of the report (CSV, AVDocument or HTML) from the 'Template' field.

Select a printer from the 'Available Printers' field. The available printers are configured by your system administrator.

Click 'Execute'.
