Making an AVTiki Reservation

Once you have configured AVTiki and performances for it, customers can visit your Facebook page to purchase tickets for themselves, and also to reserve the seats next to them for their friends.

Hint
Seats are distributed in sequential order. If the original purchase is for seats A1 and A2, and three seats are reserved, seats A3, A4 and A5 will be held. When the reservations are purchased, they are also redeemed in sequential order. If one friend takes two of the reserved seats, he/she will receive seats A3 and A4, leaving A5 on reserve for other friends.

To purchase and reserve tickets, customers will complete the following process:

  1. Log on to Facebook.
  2. Access your organization's Facebook page.
  3. Select Buy and Reserve Seats from the left-hand navigation pane.
The events that have been configured for AVTiki appear.
  4. Click 'Find Ticket' next to the applicable event.
  5. Select the number of tickets to purchase from the 'Buy tickets for yourself' dropdown.
    Information
At least one ticket must be selected for purchase.
  6. Select the number of tickets to reserve for their friends from the 'Reserve seats for your friends' dropdown.
    Information
If AVTiki has not been configured to allow customers to reserve seats for their friends, the 'Reserve seats for your friends' dropdown will not appear.
  7. Select the radio button next to the applicable price zone
  8. Click 'Find my Tickets'.
The customer is directed to the shoppingCart.asp page. This page displays the best available tickets that were selected for purchase/reservation.
